Myanmar's map, situated in Southeast Asia, depicts a kite-shaped country with a long tail extending southward along the Malay Peninsula. It's bordered by China to the north and northeast, Laos and Thailand to the east and southeast, the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal to the south and southwest, Bangladesh to the west, and India to the northwest.
